Peace Campers -
I hope you are having an amazing experience in Jordan. As a former leader for Peace Camp I know the journey you are on is not one that takes you to a destination, but a journey of your hearts and minds.
In the words of Robert Frost I hope someday you each "shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged... and I—I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference."
May your journey to spread Peace Through Understanding make a huge difference in the world!
Congratulations and Best Wishes to all participants at Peace Camp 2009. If history offers a clue, this experience will change your lives and likely help better the world you live in. The Board of Directors of People to People send their regards and thank you for being a part of this world class event. I look forward to hearing how things go and how lives are changed. Joseph D. Patterson Chairman of the Board, People to People International
I hope this is an incredible experience as you finaly get to meet each other face-to-face. It's been fun watching the excitement on facebook and we look forward to hearing about your amazing experiences and journey. Thank you for helping us work toward peace through understanding. Rosanne Rosen
Hi to all you fellow Peace Campers! I hope you are having exciting experiences and enjoying your new found friends! My advice to you is enjoy and treasure each moment, because in the years ahead you will look back at this time with fondness and appreciation! 6 years later, and I still remember my Peace Camp days! Taryn and Mien- hope you are having a blast of note :) Much love to you all xxxx
The People to People International (PTPI) Peace Camp is a safe environment in which young adults (ages 16-19) come together for ten days of cultural exchange, coexistence, and dialogue. Peace Camp provides a place for these delegates of different nationalities and religions to freely express their views and experiences. By the process of moderated dialogue, peace-enhancing activities and building friendships, the delegates will learn to start the peace process from within themselves and then apply it to their own communities and nations.
